There is a steady stream of customers that come thru here, never too busy that you wait long, but they’re pretty quick and efficient so maybe that’s why. They stress the you should order party trays at least a few hours ahead, although once I had sashimi, tempura & california party tray emergency within an hour and they got it done for me – NO PROBLEM! They have great customer service, very friendly, knowledgable and patient with me when I’m standing there wanting to order everything from the wall menu because my outer fat girl is fighting with my inner skinny girl… Guess which one wins most of the time. I’ve gotten them all at one point or another and have had only raves from those who have partaken in the yummy-ness. Yes, we’ve done it before… and there are different types to choose from. Can’t beat that! The catering menu is just the thing for your own party, taking a party tray to a gathering or potluck or honestly as lunch for an office staff of 4. You get a wide array of items to choose from –like 3pc nigiri, 6pc maki, tempura –shrimp or veggie, chicken –teriyaki or karaage or bbq beef and it comes with a fresh spring salad and a dressing to kill for. When I don’t wanna cook, when I need a quick sashimi-poke-nigiri fix, when I need to pick up a tray of treats for my weekend party host (s) - I do a fly by pick up. This location is the closest to my house so I’m a frequent flyer. Thanks for proving more of why I wouldn’t want to tip you. Service was ok, workers were complaining about their empty tip jar to one another in front of me. I feel like I’ve wasted $ 9 for this… if my review sounds like something you’re not down for, don’t get this. Like I’ve tried poke at other places and they’re usually cut into pretty small pieces and fresh tasting. Can you imagine chewing BIG chunks of raw meat? The after taste could also gear towards a little old/expired. I mean you can bite half of one piece for a more pleasant experience, but for me at least it wasn’t appetizing. From first impression when looking at this I thought how big the tuna pieces were! So I tried it and it tastes rather ok, but after awhile the big pieces of tuna was getting harder to even eat because, after all it IS raw. Today I got the tuna poke bowl for first time at this spot. I work across from this place for over a year now and this is probably my second time coming.
